On September 12, 2025, Kyburz Sapphire celebrated its 75th anniversary together with employees, former colleagues, business partners, and family members.

The UV transmission of synthetic sapphire depends mainly on material purity and processing quality. In cooperation with new partners, KYBURZ SAPPHIRE ensures that both meet the right standard – for reliable function even at the lowest UV wavelengths.

Innovative microprocessing technologies are enabling new and expanded functionalities for sapphire glass in the medical technology sector. KYBURZ SAPPHIRE produces these novel components down to the smallest dimensions into nanoscale. An industrialised process enables large production capacity at the highest levels of accuracy.

At KYBURZ SAPPHIRE, we feel especially comfortable when we’re developing innovative, efficient production technologies. Recently, we’ve been engaged with carrying out precise “modifications” to sapphire surfaces, both polished and transparent, and with a matt finish.
