Thanks to a continuous improvement in the order situation, it was already apparent in the spring that this would be the year with the highest sales in over ten years. For the managing directors Gregor Kyburz and Lea Unterrassner \u2013 Kyburz, this would not have come about without the trust of their clientele and without the committed cooperation with partners and suppliers. Gregor Kyburz comments: “Our thanks go to all of them at the end of the year. In doing so, we also include our employees; they have achieved great things and have risen to the ever new challenges.”<\/strong><\/p>\n

Developments and investments<\/strong>
\nKyburz Sapphire was able to expand its customer base in the medical sector with its small laser-cut freeform windows, thanks to fast and successful prototyping. This is a very encouraging development, especially in view of the exceptional situation that persisted this year.<\/p>\n

Progress was also realized in the development of production technologies for micro lenses. Spherical concave radii with R-0.8mm are now possible, opening up new markets and opportunities. In 2021, Kyburz Sapphire has invested in measurement technology to qualify such radii. Thus, the development, production and quality assurance are all in the hands of Kyburz.<\/p>\n

Trade fairs: Review and outlook<\/strong>
\nAfter an interruption of one year, trade fairs took place again this year. Participation at the W3+ Rheintal trade fair in September and at VISION Stuttgart in October was positive throughout. It is more pleasant and easier to go into technical details in a personal conversation and to answer questions on the spot. In addition to exciting technical discussions, Gregor Kyburz and Lea Unterrassner – Kyburz were particularly pleased to be able to follow up on existing contacts and make new ones. The management plans to be present at trade fairs next year as well and is already looking forward to a lively exchange with partners and interested parties.<\/p>\n

In 2022, the company will expand its offer, especially in the field of sapphire optics with advanced features. Visitors can find new technology solutions by Kyburz at the following trade shows:<\/p>\n
